Not for the faint of heart

” If we, indeed, desire our faith to be strengthened, we should not shrink from opportunities where our faith may be tried, and, therefore, through the trial be strengthened.” – George Muller

Christianity isn’t for the faint of heart; God seems to call us into the most uncomfortable situations sometimes. Yet, do you ever recall making Him a promise? “I’ll do anything for you Lord?” Maybe you just asked that an angel come down to clarify, cause if he didn’t… it would just be too risky… right? Well, I guess that would depend on who your god really is.

I shame myself, when I realize how small I allow my world to become, forming this sweet life that’s sure and comfortable. Forgetting just how precious Jesus’ life is!

God was revealing Himself to me in a special way and I was realizing just how Almighty He was, if you want a glimpse, try reading the Bible, try reading biographies of our brothers and sisters who have gone before us. One of my favourite’s is Vanya’s Story.

God in us, and we in Christ….this is something that the world cannot know or understand; it is truly the supernatural on earth. I have such a long way to go, but the point isn’t becoming perfection. It’s faith, gaining victory by Christ alone. We cannot do this on our own!

Yes we are small, I am weak, yet we have such a powerful God; never doubt Him! Doubt isn’t cool, and Christ’s own, choose to not doubt. Is it really a risk to invest our everything for the God who died and rose again, for the God who conquered death?

His life was spent not only for our eternal life, but for His life in us now.

So let’s follow Christ, take up our cross and follow Him- He is so worthy!

With love,

Kathleen
