I’m back with my promised list!
So, without further ado, here are five habits of a productive heart – based on Proverbs 31. 😉
- She spends time with God
Nobody can stress that enough, girls. Time spent before His throne is NEVER wasted. Keep a list of prayer requests to go over. Start a prayer journal. Make a Bible reading schedule. Start a personal Bible word or book study. Try hosting an online Bible study!
2. She spends time on Others
Email a friend or someone who may be lonely. Encourage them with life-giving words that let them know you care. Call an elderly person you know. Write a letter to someone – sometimes simple things like that can change the world to the person who receives it. Make sure you don’t forget your own family in this!!! 😉
3. She spends time Learning
Learn something new. Maybe its something small and random like asking your dad to show you how to do an oil change on a vehicle, or your mom to show you how she manages meals. Maybe research a topic you find interesting and share it with those around you. Try your hand at something creative that you thought you’d never have time for! 😉 Perfect a skill that you know could use some attention.
4. She spends time Teaching
No matter who you are, you have something you can share with those around you. You have a level of experience or skill that some around may have not yet achieved. Instead of finding pride in that, take your knowledge and multiply it! Find a younger sister or friend, maybe even someone who you don’t know very well and reach out a helping hand. Remember, teaching can be a LOT harder than you think. Kudos to you for rising to the challenge!
5. She spends time Joyfully
I had to put this one in because I think it is SO important that we remember our JOY!!!! The list I’ve made can look very dry and “duty-ish”. But it is the attitude we do it in that makes all the difference for us and others. Laugh, girls – I can guarantee that a cheerful heart and a smile are the number one beauty makeover!! 😀
Love to you girls, I hope this blessed you! Stay safe and stay healthy!
